Lead AI Engineer

Lead AI Engineer (VP) – Generative AI We’re hiring a Lead AI Engineer (VP) to spearhead a GenAI feature team building production-grade AI applications used daily by thousands of employees with a well known bank. You'll be part of a dedicated department tasked with replacing the entire current stack with a new agentic stack. What you’ll do * Lead design, build and deployment of GenAI solutions end-to-end * Act as an SME shaping Generative AI strategy * Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence, security and quality * Partner with senior stakeholders in a highly regulated environment What we’re looking for * Strong Python engineering background * Hands-on experience with LLMs , prompt optimisation and evaluation * AWS experience (Bedrock, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, Lex) * Experience delivering AI in regulated or complex organisations * Bonus: DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation, Docker, ECS/EKS * Experience with LangGraph, Google ADK It's a hybrid role based in London or Knutsford, whatever suits best from your location.
