Role Description This is a part-time unpaid volunteer role requiring approximately 6 hours per week. eMigr8 is at pre-seed stage, building its AI-powered platform for global talent mobility. You will work directly with our technical leads, Bade and Chris, supporting the AI roadmap with hands-on development and testing of AI agents, automation scripts, and platform integrations. This role suits junior AI/ML engineers, computer science students, or anyone with solid Python skills who wants real experience building production AI features inside a live startup environment. Responsibilities - Build and test AI agents that support visa assessment, coaching, and user onboarding workflows - Write automation scripts to streamline internal processes and platform operations - Integrate third-party AI APIs and services into the eMigr8 platform - Document agent behaviour, edge cases, and test results clearly for the wider tech team - Support prompt engineering and evaluation of AI model outputs - Assist with debugging and iterating on automation pipelines based on team feedback Qualifications - Proficiency in Python with exposure to AI/ML libraries or frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI API, HuggingFace, or similar) - Basic understanding of APIs, JSON, and how to integrate external services - Ability to read and follow technical documentation independently - Keen interest in AI applications, automation, or global talent mobility - Currently studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, AI, or a related field is a plus Benefits of Volunteering - Make a tangible impact on the trajectory of a promising AI-focused startup. - Sharpen your expertise in AI development and automation engineering within a live product environment. - Gain valuable experience in the intersection of AI, technology, and global talent mobility. - Expand your network within the startup, technology, and international mobility communities. - Potential for future paid opportunities as the company scales and secures funding.
