Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job Title: AI Engineer – LLM | RAG | Knowledge Graph 📍 Location: Sheffield, UK (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) 📄 Contract: Inside IR35 💰 Rate: Market Rate Role Overview We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer to design and develop enterprise Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Knowledge Graphs . You will work closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to build scalable AI applications and intelligent search solutions. Key Responsibilities * Develop and deploy AI applications using LLMs, RAG, and Knowledge Graphs . * Build and optimize RAG pipelines with vector databases and enterprise data. * Design and implement Knowledge Graph solutions for semantic search. * Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama) into enterprise applications. * Develop AI services using Python and frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex . * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions. * Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and security. Required Skills * 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in GenAI/LLMs . * Strong proficiency in Python . * Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering, and Vector Databases . * Experience with Knowledge Graphs (Neo4j/RDF/SPARQL). * Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel , or similar frameworks. * Experience with FastAPI/Flask , REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD. * Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms. Nice to Have * Experience with Azure AI Foundry , Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock. * Knowledge of GraphRAG, Agentic AI, MCP (Model Context Protocol) . * Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
