Data \& AI Governance Manager Location: London, UK Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with flexible working options available Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-time Overview Our client, an established insurance business, is seeking a Data \& AI Governance Manager to help strengthen enterprise-wide data, analytics and AI governance. The role will support the delivery of the Data \& AI strategy, ensuring data is managed consistently, risks are controlled and governance policies are embedded in practice. Working across business, technology, risk and data teams, you will lead the adoption of governance frameworks, processes and tools, including Collibra. You will also help establish clear accountability for data, strengthen data risk management and support the responsible use of AI across a complex organisation. Responsibilities * Support the development and lead the delivery of the Data \& AI Governance strategy and roadmap across the data and AI lifecycle. * Lead the adoption and ongoing maturity of Collibra, establishing consistent and scalable governance practices across business areas. * Establish and embed clear data ownership and stewardship models, with defined roles, responsibilities and accountability. * Define governance KPIs and success measures, providing actionable reporting and insight to senior stakeholders and governance forums. * Drive data risk management, including control design, RCSA support, issue remediation and improved data risk awareness. * Enhance governance frameworks, processes and standards to improve data quality, control and business outcomes. * Chair and facilitate governance forums and working groups, supporting effective decision-making, prioritisation and issue resolution. * Ensure alignment with enterprise policies and regulatory expectations covering Data Management, AI Governance, Model Risk and End User Computing. Requirements * Strong data governance and data management experience within a complex organisation. * Proven experience defining and delivering data governance strategies, frameworks and roadmaps. * Good understanding of data risk, controls and regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance industry. * Experience using data governance tools such as Collibra and driving their adoption. * Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence business, technology and senior leadership audiences. * Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical guidance for different audiences. * Experience leading teams and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery across multiple priorities.
